Micro Groups - After School (2-4 Students)

After School

Our Micro Groups provide targeted, small-group support for students who benefit from explicit instruction in a supportive learning environment. With only 2-4 students per group, each child receives individual guidance while also learning alongside peers.

Groups are carefully formed by age and learning level to ensure students feel comfortable, confident and appropriately challenged.

Literacy Micro Groups:

Sessions focus on building strong reading and spelling skills through structured, explicit teaching.

  • Phonic consolidation - strengthening understanding of sound-letter relationships
  • Spelling development - building accurate spelling through structured practice
  • Reading fluency - improving confidence, pace and expression when reading
  • Morphology and etymology - exploring how words are built and where they come from to support vocabulary and spelling

Numeracy Micro Groups:

Sessions develop strong mathematical foundations and problem-solving strategies.
